CITI Development Division appraised at CMMI Level 4
28 March 2016, Falls Church, Virginia (USA) & Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra (India).
Creative Information Technology, Inc. - Development Division (covering Software Development Projects and Software Implementation Projects) today announced that it has been appraised at Level 4 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)®. The appraisal was performed by KPMG.
CMMI® is a capability improvement approach that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance.
CITI’s appraisal at maturity level 4 indicates that our organization is performing at a “quantitatively managed” level. At this level, the organization and projects establish quantitative objectives for quality and process performance and use them as criteria in managing projects.
CITI has been involved in systematic, CMMI®-driven process improvement for more than a decade (since 2004, when the company received its first—CMMI Level 2—appraisal). After receiving the news of this unprecedented CMMI Level 4 achievement, CITI President and CEO Sunil Kolhekar made the following announcement:
“Please join me in congratulating the leaders of our newest CMMI initiative—Anand Shanbhag and Aparna Naik—and the 36 other managers and employees in the U.S. and India who have succeeded in this huge, cross-functional effort (begun in January 2015) to meet the highest level of software engineering standards we’ve ever achieved, CMMI-DEV®-ML4.”
