Background: The Project Coordinator will provide daily project delivery support for key purchasing system implementation activities delivery across the Maryland. She/he will provide daily scheduling, activity coordination, and reporting for multiple project workstreams. The Project Coordinator will interact with service delivery teams and stakeholders to coordinate delivery activities and to promote high levels of customer satisfaction and quality of service. In addition, the Project Coordinator will maintain project schedules, develop key project artifacts, and maintain project documentation as required.



  1. Directly support project planning, activity scheduling, and delivery execution across work streams.
  2. Serve as the scheduling lead and a key member of the project delivery team.
  3. Provide recurring reporting regarding project execution, cost/schedule variances, and risks.
  4. Prepare and maintain project risk register and perform issue impact analysis as required.
  5. Prepare and maintain project documentation as required.

Skills/Experience Required



Bachelors or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in information technology or another related field.


General Experience:

  • Ten+ years of experience in program/project management.
  • Strong experience as senior scheduler or master scheduler.
  • Strong understanding of the system development life cycle (SDLC) under iterative (Agile) and hybrid project methodologies, PMI’s project management body of knowledge (PMBOK), development and operations integration (DevOps) or similar methodologies, frameworks and best practices for IT project management and service delivery
  • Experience as a project team member on IT projects that involved business process reengineering, organizational change, and transforming multiple technology components
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization and experience engaging and working with vendors/partners to effectively deliver projects
  • Working knowledge of current information security standards and best practices, virtualization technologies, on premise, hybrid, and cloud IT architecture designs and legacy modernization
