Our team at USDA/FPAC-BC (FBC) has implemented automated testing on several of the applications we are supporting on two programs: Common Farm Program Systems (CFPS) and Subsidy and Disaster Systems (SADS).
This automation to deliver faster integration testing, improved code quality with faster release of software. This has also reduced costs for maintaining software Quality and Maintenance. We work in collaboration with the Cert Team and they believe the implementation of Katalon automated process of setting up data and testing has shown savings by about a multiplier of 15.
Some of our Common Farm Automated Tests were used by our Subsidy and Disaster Team to create test data that shaved integration test hours for CFAP 2 and QLA (both high visibility and short stent projects).
